 Why Sleeping Bags? Inside a sleeping bag your baby has enough room to stretch and wriggle without the danger of kicking off or slipping under conventional duvets and blankets. Are There Other Advantages? Your baby maintains a constant temperature throughout the night. If baby does wake it feels comfortable and more likely to go back to sleep. Baby can kick and wriggle contentedly and will not feel restricted. Baby cannot get between cot bars. Sleeping Bags help prevent baby scratching itchy eczema. When traveling or in strange surrounding babies will feel more comfortable in their own sleeping bag. Slumbersac Baby Sleeping Bags come in three sizes. A sleeping bag is not an exact fit and a good general rule is ‘bigger is better’. Baby’s feet should come to around 50% / 66% down the length of the bag to allow plenty of freedom to kick and wriggle. Please graduate to a larger size before your baby’s feet get to the foot of the bag Size 1 fits from birth up to 6 months. Before using your Slumbersac it is advisable to wait until your baby is over 9lbs (4Kg). 66cm long Size 2 fits from approx. 6 months up to around 18 months. 86cm long Size 3 fits babies up to three years. This size has an extension facility; when folded your Slumbersac will be long enough for most babies under 2 years of age. When extended it will fit up to approx. three years. Size three sleeping bags all open at a centre zip. This enables older babies to wriggle and sit up without putting stress on the shoulder snaps. 122cm long
